As those of you who have been following our (mis)adventures know, the amount of monthly traffic
allowed on this, my free blog site from Earthlink maxed out before the end of December. Not only could no one access the Blog
but I couldn't add to it either.
Since then I have signed up for a basic webpage account with Earthlink which will give me a lot
more traffic allowance and have been trying to get all these existing files transferred over to the new website. When talking
to the support people at Earthlink I'm told that "yes, its possible to transfer the files but it might take up to 3 or 4 days"
Well, its been that long but still no transfer but I'm assuming that many of the technical people who do this kind of transfer
are off work due to the holidays. I'll try to contact them again tomorrow to check on any progress.
I'll post the new website URL when everything is set up.
We all had a good Christmas and New Years except for one of Ken and Mary-Beth's dogs, Brandie who
had developed a grape size growth on the side of her face. Sandy from the park contacted his Veterinarian who has an office
in Tecoman and also teaches at the Veterinarian College in Colima.
What was amazing to us that after hearing about the problem he agreed to come to the RV park
with his wife who is also a Veterinarian and perform the surgery here.
Everything went well and Brandie is doing well although scratched some of the stiches out and had
to be taken back to Tecoman to get sewen up again.
While the Veterinarian was here, I had them clip Leo and Hayley's nails that were getting kind
of long. They did not like that procedure at all !!!
For Christmas, Sandy and Cynthia bought a whole pig and BBQ'd it and everyone in the park brought
a dish to share. We all went home with a full belly.
We're still fighting the "red dirt" around the motorhome so we decided to buy some ground cover
that is supposed to spread. We bought 45 plants plus a lemon tree and had one of the Mexican workers at here at the park plant
them.
For New Year's Cynthia had a steak dinner for everyone and the party continued past midnight although
Diane and I were in bed by about 10:00 pm.
