Feb. 1st.
Today was market day but Diane and Sherry also wanted to go to Tecoman to get things at the
big supermarket so they both went off by themselves leaving Fred and I at home to baby sit the pups.
The day was pretty quiet but the park is having a Super Bowl party tonight with lots of pizzas so Fred
and I rested up for that. .. Although he did spend a lot of the day washing his motorhome.
The park itself is pretty full with only one or two vacant spots and even those may be filled up as there
were four additional rigs just pulled in.
I found a couple of more pictures of the artificial tree and chimenea we bought in Tonala.

Diane and I took the pups to the beach this morning as the Jeep was in bad need of a wash which was taken
care of in the afternoon. Normally I get the car washed in the morning but if we took the pups to the beach after a car
wash the wash would have been wasted following the pup's shaking water and sand off when they jump
back in the car to come home. At least this way the car stays clean for a couple of days.
The wind really picked up in the late afternoon and if I didn't have the awning tied down, it would have
automatically retracted.
Fred and Sherry had us over for supper. They will be leaving at the end of the week for two weeks. They're
driving their car up to Puerto Vallarta to spend time with their kids in a time-share condo.

We all spent a quiet day today... lots of reading time although I did manage to clean the screen on the
ceiling fan in the kitchen.
Siboli, the local artist who gave lessons last year at the park dropped by with some jewelry he made
to show everyone and will come back on Sunday with other things he's made.
We have lots of food in the fridge and freezer so we bbq'd some steak and Diane made a delicious spinach
salad with fruit.

The propane truck came to the park today so even though we still had half a tank I decided to fill
up. In Mexico you never know when the truck might show up again.
The park is full with all the rv slots taken and an over-flow area where people have to dry camp is being
used. Two fishermen selling fresh shrimp drove in around noon and so many people wanted shrimp, they sold out and several
people didn't get any. I was lucky and was able to buy two kilos. So shrimp tomorrow night for supper.
This evening everyone went up to the Rancho B. restaurant for meat loaf. Sandy told us that the nice
Mexican man who works at the park has a sick daughter who needs to go to the hospital in Morelia. We all made a deposit in
the donation bottle that was at the restaurant to help with the girl's medical expenses.

Another quiet day just enjoying the warm weather and the ability to do nothing. Just a light breeze and
80 degree weather is perfect for walking on the beach. The pups are really going to miss running and playing in the
surf.
Diane made spaghetti and I bbq's some shrimp and we had Fred and Sherry over for supper.

Once again it was a quiet day taken up by laying back in the recliner chair and watching the breeze blow
the banana tree leaves or playing with the pups on the beach.... really tough times.
Most all the park went for tacos in La Placita tonight. Friday night tacos are so popular people have to
wait for someone to vacate a table.
Mike and Terri Church, authors of the "Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping" arrived at Rancho B. this
afternoon. We met them briefly when we came back from having tacos and will visit with them some more tomorrow. They're in
the process of gathering material for the next edition of their book.

My hair was getting a little long so today I had Javier, one of the people who work for Sandy and Cynthia
give me a haircut. He's a trained hair dresser and cuts men's and women's hair.
Mike and Terri Church spent the day checking out the surounding area but joined everyone up at the club
house tonight for pizza. They'll be leaving tomorrow but from what I've heard, they think Rancho B. is one of the nicest parks
they've visited.
